Oh how I hate Monday's... not for the same reason everyone else does... since I don't work (YET)... but because I'm usually home alone (with exception to today as it is a "snow day" for the boys) I normally would complain about being home with everyone but due to my soon to be ex son-in-law moving out and it's just me and the pups/cats in the house... it kinda gets lonely!!! I hope that my interview tomorrow will tell me I won't have lonely Monday's to look forward to but that I'll complain about Monday's the way everyone else does... A job... me... working.... I'm kinda excited... and I pray I can make it to the interview tomorrow!!! The roads are kinda slick and I hate to drive on slick roads... one thing I never really inherited from being a northerner... I wasn't blessed with the patience for driving in that kind of weather... I can't even drive in the rain cause of my eyesight... so who would ever think I can drive in the snow, sleet, freezing rain... frozen roads?!?!?
One of my favorite things about winter/cold weather is boiling a hot pot of water and brewing some wonderful hot tea. I have many favorites but currently I'm addicted to Earl Gray Tea... with honey and lemon!! Yummo!! I love it strong too.. so I'll let it steep for quite some time and sometimes I even have to reheat it in the microwave cause I'll forget it's steeping... but I think that is when I like it the most... the strength of the tea is perfect... then add the honey and lemon?!?!?! YUM!!! I love to sit in my chair and sip on my tea while reading on my kindle or cruising through Facebook or Pinterest looking for all the hot new DIY tips or recipes that are out there that I want to add to my board or post about... I think drinking tea like that for me makes me feel like a grown up!!! Now if I get a job... I'm gonna have to get a thermos and take some to work with me... I can't just not have my tea. I use to drink coffee like a fiend... but it gave me a huge headache!! Tea doesn't!!!
I'm going to have to start looking for stuff for my kid's new house in Langley!!! She has a table & chairs... a living room chair... a vacuum cleaner... glasses... coffee maker... and some bake ware... but she needs some other stuff... she has a dresser and a bed... and sheets and stuff... So I think she is set there... but she needs pots, pans, plates, table ware... so it will be thrift store hunting for me... I want her to be set for life. It may not be new... but it will be new to her!!! And I'm going to do my best to make her stuff match... She wants Fat Chef stuff for her kitchen in red & black... she wants the mint/brown for her bathroom... so I'm going to be looking everywhere for the stuff she wants... besides I love to do thrift shopping... and maybe even layaway for her too...
